Just Add Water

When you make friends with super, creative, talented people... this happens!

Coming out of your shell isn't always easy...
Not everyone is comfortable in their own skin, let alone a bikini.
Personally, I love bikinis because bikinis mean two (of my favorite) things-
SUN & WATER... hopefully salt water.

Yes, I grew up in NYC. So where did my deep devotion to the sea originate?
My mom tells me the day before she gave birth to me she was swimming in the ocean, or maybe it was the countless hours my family spent at the beach in Long Island over the summers. Now, calling Palm Beach home, I am able to satisfy my yearning.
Crystal blue waters, sunny days, and desolate beaches...
SO, with the amount of time I now spend at the beach & in the water, I'm in a bathing suit a LOT.

...and with some time home before heading back to school my uber amazing and talented friend Christina and I headed to the beach one morning to take some photos in the water.
It was amazing.
Her camera was like 10 pounds and I was so awkward, but she has such an eye and gift.
Aren't these awesome?
I couldn't stop smiling because we were taking pictures IN the water.

Some days you feel better than others and some days you just don't want to put one on at all, heck, you don't even want to leave the house.
With "spring break" coming up, many peers keep talking about getting that perfect body in time.
Articles flood magazines advocating weight loss.
Ad's are photoshopped to create a perfect body.
Instagram-ers have 500K followers for their bikini posts.

It can be a materialistic work. A world many people can only see from the outside.
A trap easy to fall into.

However, I believe it's what's on the inside that matters most.
You were "fearfully and wonderfully" made.
Do you have two legs? Can you see? Are you alive and breathing this beautiful Friday morning?

If you too can truly believe this you'll be rocking that bikini rain or shine.
