You don't need a gym...





It's only February and I bet many of you have already given up on those "new year resolutions"(although I hope you haven't). We all know the gym is a nightmare those first few days into the new year. Crowded or not, the gym always freaks me out. What machines do I use? How long do I stay? Am I even getting a workout? 
Lately I've been working-out without any machines, just myself (and maybe a few weights). Karena and Katrina from Tone it Up have some amazing workout plans I have been incorporating into my workouts. I am by no means a workout expert, I just enjoy treating my body well and breaking a sweat. It really increases your endorphins and can turn your day completely around!

Warm up: Walk, jog, or do jumping jacks for about 5 minutes. 
Squats- with dumbbells in each hand- 25x
One legged dead lift- dumbbells in each hand - 15-20x per leg 
Mountain climbers - plank position, bring knee to chest - 15x each leg
Crunches- Lay with your back on the ground, lift your legs up and stretch your legs straight in the air.       Crunch your shoulders off the ground as you raise up to touch your toes, make sure to squeeze your abs as you raise off the ground . 25x
Butt Bridge- Lay with back flat on ground, arms beside you, and bring feet tucked directly below your knees. Press hips up into air to lift your lower body off the ground and squeeze your cheeks! 
Push Up - Keep abs tight - 15x
Lunges - 3 sets of 12 (6 each leg) 
Finish off with a light jog or walk.


Depending on your energy level, you can repeat all this once again!
