Stop and smell the roses

The Hamptons have such a unique vibe and special feeling to them. Once you feel the cool air, see the cedar shades and white trimmed roofs, you know you’ve hit the Hamptons. They are a peaceful escape from the city and a sanctuary of flowers, yummy food, and socializing to kick off the summer. Whenever I visit I love to throw on some great summer shoes, all white, and set off to explore.

Wonderland

The beaches up north are beautiful... but the last thing you want to do is go in the water, especially this early in Summer! Just getting my toes wet leave me with numb feet and chills all over. I stick to walking, driftwood collecting and dune exploring! I'm always down for some awesome beach shorts and I love these Wonderland Honolulu ones. Grab a fun pair next time you take a trip to the beach!

Windmills

It's awesome being up in the Hamptons. Probably one of my favorite things is wearing white jeans, passing by beautiful windmills and homes, and eating some amazing food. Looking back on all my Summers spent here I always remember how everyone wore classic white jeans. They're my go to Summer piece, especially when it's still a little chilly up here! The Summers in the Hamptons are some of my favorite times and I can't wait to share the rest of my time up here with you all!

Be the best YOU

I am guilty of posting too much on Instagram and too little on my main blog. I find Instagram to be such an amazing network to meet new people, express yourself, and find brands you never would of heard of elsewhere. If you follow me on Instagram here are a few of my latests posts with links below  to all the neat things I've worn or styled. If you don't follow me, you're really missing out, in my opinion. Also, I put together a few tips I've learned on how to be the best "-gramer" out there:

1- Make the caption meaningful.
-
2- Don't over edit. Too many filters start to look funny.
-
3- Comment and share other users accounts and photos. It's not all about you. Sharing is caring and I find I meet so many new people and companies just through networking on Instagram!
-
4- Post as much as you can. Less is not more. Readers love to see fun pictures of whats to come on your blog the next day or what book you're reading!
-
5- Be YOU. Don't fall into the habits of every mega -popular fashion bloggers posts.  After a while their feeds start to all look alike, like pictures of dinner that night ( from what fork they used to what lime was cut), head to toe look ( including the cool sidewalk they happen to be standing on with perfectly painted toes) , or flowers just bought at the super market (that could be fake, who knows). Don't imitate- be unique and make your Instagram feed a representation of YOU.
